Surgical Technologist - Southeastern Spine ASC

Novant Health Southeastern Spine Institute is looking for a Surgical Technologist!

• Locion: 1625 Hospital Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
• Stus: Full Time
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-4pm. No weekends, holidays, or call!

• Educion : High School Diploma or GED, required. Gradue of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D Opering Room Specialist). For incumbents who are not gradues of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certificion please see additional skills required. Online Surgical Tech program credits will not be accepted.
• Experience : Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certificion: Current Surgical Tech certificion, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): For incumbents who are not gradues of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certificion the following additional requirements apply: new gradues must obtain certificion within 12months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validion and competency testing. Demonstre effective and approprie customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communicion techniques, interpersonal relionship skills, and time management skills.
• Additional Skills (preferred): One to two years of experience in sterile processing or equivalent training if assigned solely to sterile processing.

• Prepare the opering room, ensuring equipment and sterile supplies are available.
• Sterilize, assemble, and check equipment
• Review surgeon preferences to prepare specialized trays.
• Wash and disinfect incision sites.
• Position the pient on the opering table
• Clean and transport instruments for terminal sterilizion.
• Assist with cleaning and turning over the opering room for the next pient.
• Restock the opering room with necessary supplies.
