Join our team in Florence, SC as a Certified Surgical Technologist - CVOR. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during invasive and non-invasive procedures. You will prepare the operating room, ensure equipment and supplies are available and sterile, assist with patient positioning and draping, participate in time-out and verification processes, perform instrument and sponge counts, and support safe perioperative processes that maximize patient safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NBSTSA certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a CVOR surgical technologist in a cardiac surgical environment preferred; experience in open heart and vascular cases required or strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency in operative pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care, sterile technique, instrument handling, specimen management, and terminal cleaning.
  • Ability to assist with positioning, lifting, and turning patients using proper body mechanics.
  • Willingness to work weekday hours with weekend call as required.
  • Ability to work under surgeon supervision and maintain professional conduct with patients, physicians, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience averaging approximately 6 CVOR cases per day.
  • Confidence and demonstrated skill in open heart surgery and vascular cases.

Assignment Details

  • Shift details: 0600 - 1430.
  • Weekday hours with weekend call.
  • CVOR case mix includes cardiac and vascular procedures, averaging about 6 cases per day.
