Certified Surg Tech Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, maintain the sterile field, set up and manage surgical equipment and supplies, pass instruments and fluids to the surgeon, handle specimens, and perform counts to prevent retained surgical items. Candidates must be prepared to work in a hospital surgical setting supporting a range of cases including orthopedic, ophthalmology, and gynecologic procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from a CAAHEP-accredited program or equivalent national certification administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a surgical technologist in an operating room environment, including experience with orthopedic, ophthalmology, and gynecologic cases.
• Prior travel clinician experience required for travel submissions. Local-only candidates will not be accepted.
• Willingness to comply with vendor and facility payment processes as required by the client.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NBSTSA credential or equivalent (if not already listed as primary).
• Experience working in small hospital or community hospital settings.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00 - 15:30.
• Work days: Monday through Friday.
• On-call up to 15 days as requested by the facility.
