Medical Technologist Jobs in Virginia
A Medical Technologist, also known as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, plays a vital role in the med tech industry by performing and analyzing the results of complex scientific tests on blood and bodily fluids. These professionals use sophisticated laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and cell counters. They are instrumental in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They may work in several areas of the medical laboratory or specialize in just one. Medical Technologists also ensure the labs are running smoothly by maintaining and troubleshooting the most automated and intricate lab equipment.
To become a Medical Technologist, one needs a strong background in sciences and a degree in medical technology or life sciences.
