Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. This opportunity is located in Dubuque, IA at a hospital facility. Candidates should be prepared to work within the hospital perioperative environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • BLS Certification.
  • 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment.
  • Experience working in a hospital operating room, including familiarity with sterile technique, instrument sets, and perioperative protocols.
  • Ability to work on-call shifts as required by the operating room schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with a broad case mix including general, orthopedic, and gynecologic procedures.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume hospital surgical department.

Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 0630-1700.
  • Start time may vary between 0630-1700 or 1100-2130 as operational needs require.
  • On-call responsibilities: weekday on-call from end of shift until 0700 approximately one night per week; weekend on-call rotation from end of shift Friday through Monday 0700 approximately every fourth weekend.
  • Holiday coverage: work shift or on-call per holiday rotation; hours variable based on holiday schedule.
