What You'll Do
- Collect blood specimens using proper venipuncture techniques (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling and documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients regarding procedures
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection as required
- Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting with accuracy and efficiency
- Support various locations as needed based on business demands
What We're Looking For
- A current, up-to-date resume
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- At least 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and a clean driving record (if applicable)
- Flexibility for travel, varied locations, and potential schedule adjustments
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Keyboard and data entry experience
- Ability to meet compliance requirements
