Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)

Location: Conrad, MT (Primary Station)
Work Location: May work at any of the following locations based on operational needs:

  • Babb, MT

  • Cut Bank, MT

  • Conrad, MT

  • Shelby, MT

  • Sunburst, MT

Schedule: Full-Time | Variable Shifts

Qualifications:

  • Current EMT-B licensure required. National Registry EMT certification preferred.

  • Current Drivers License required.

  • Must possess a good driving record clear of the following for the past thirty-six (36) months from time of hire:

    • Conviction of a felony involving a motor vehicle.

    • Conviction of sale, handling, or use of illicit drugs.

    • Conviction of an alcohol or drug-related offense while driving.

    • Drivers license suspended or revoked.

    • Conviction of three (3) or more speeding or other moving violations.

  • RQI Provider (BLS) within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through high standards and quality patient outcomes.

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software systems as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Provides EMT care through Basic Life Support (BLS) in both the pre-hospital 911 setting and inter-facility transport environment.

  • Accurately and efficiently completes documentation, patient care reports, and other required records per department protocol.

  • Demonstrates competency with required EMS computer programs and assists with data collection and report generation.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Exhibits knowledge and proper operation of ambulances, communication devices, patient care equipment, extraction equipment, and other emergency response tools.

  • Provides direction and assistance to stakeholders and public safety personnel as needed.

  • Performs BLS assessments for patients requiring Advanced Life Support (ALS) care and transport.

  • Assists incident command at scene responses and supports patient care coordination during emergency situations.

  • Monitors equipment for proper function, reports malfunctioning equipment, restocks supplies, and maintains clean vehicles and work areas per department protocol.

  • Performs Emergency Room Technician tasks and provides patient care support as applicable to assigned area(s).

  • Maintains knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, patient care standards, and safety protocols.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Shift:

Day Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
