Location: Conrad, MT (Primary Station)
Work Location: May work at any of the following locations based on operational needs:

  • Babb, MT

  • Cut Bank, MT

  • Conrad, MT

  • Shelby, MT

Schedule: Full-Time | Variable Shifts

Position Summary

At Logan Health, our Paramedics play a vital role in delivering high-quality emergency medical services to the communities we serve. This position provides advanced life support (ALS) care in both pre-hospital 911 response and inter-facility transport settings while supporting patient safety, operational excellence, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana Paramedic licensure required.

  • National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification preferred.

  • Current drivers license required.

  • Must possess a driving record clear of the following for the past thirty-six (36) months from date of hire:

    • Conviction of a felony involving a motor vehicle.

    • Conviction involving the sale, handling, or use of illicit drugs.

    • Conviction of an alcohol or drug-related driving offense.

    • Drivers license suspension or revocation.

    • Three (3) or more speeding and/or moving violations.

  • RQI Provider (BLS) certification required within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or prior to independent patient care, whichever comes first.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six (6) months of hire/transfer.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six (6) months of hire/transfer.

  • Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software applications as needed.

Job Specific Duties

  • Provides advanced life support (ALS) patient care in pre-hospital 911 response and inter-facility transport settings.

  • Completes accurate and timely patient documentation, care reports, and related records.

  • Demonstrates competency with required EMS computer systems and assists with data collection and reporting activities.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and department protocols.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and safe operation of ambulances, communication systems, patient care equipment, and extraction equipment.

  • Provides direction and support to stakeholders, public safety personnel, and emergency response teams as appropriate.

  • Performs ALS assessments and interventions for patients requiring advanced levels of care and transport.

  • Assists incident command during emergency scene responses with patient care expertise and coordination.

  • Monitors equipment functionality, reports malfunctions, restocks supplies, and maintains vehicle cleanliness and readiness according to department standards.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures related to patient care, safety, and departmental operations.

  • As applicable to assigned areas, performs Emergency Room Technician support duties including:

    • Assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures requiring sterile technique.

    • Applying and/or removing dressings and splints.

    • Cleansing and irrigating wounds and assisting with patient preparation procedures.

    • Educating patients on standard self-care procedures as directed.

    • Administering medications ordered by emergency department providers within scope of practice.

    • Assisting with diagnostic exams and minor procedures.

    • Performing CPR and obtaining 12-lead EKGs as directed.

    • Obtaining and documenting vital signs per protocol.

    • Coordinating instrument cleaning and processing according to department standards.

    • Transporting patients to designated rooms or care areas.

    • Preparing patient rooms, beds, oxygen supplies, suction setups, EKG supplies, and related equipment.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
