What Your Day Looks Like: Drawing high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in accordance with established procedures. Explaining procedures clearly to patients to foster trust and comfort. Verifying patient demographic information and ensuring proper labeling of specimens to maintain accuracy and compliance. Preparing specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times. Performing follow-up activities such as patient signature collection and specimen verification. Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure daily operations run smoothly and on schedule. Sometimes working across multiple clinical settings, including patient service centers, in-office collections, or physician offices, based on staffing needs. Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven phlebotomy experience (1-3 years), including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Strong technical skills in blood collection techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and team members. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Exceptional attention to detail for specimen labeling and documentation. Flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, and travel between multiple locations. Proficiency with data entry and familiarity with electronic health records or laboratory information systems. High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (especially in states like California, Nevada, and Washington). Additional Nice-to-Haves: Experience working in busy patient service centers or clinical settings. Customer service background that emphasizes empathy and professionalism. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for travel across multiple sites. Other Requirements: Physical ability to perform blood draws, including from pediatric and elderly patients. Ability to work flexible hours, primarily Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, with one Saturday per month (7 am to 11 am). Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following all safety and infection control policies. Must be able to exercise sound judgment in patient interactions and specimen handling. Why Join Us?
