Pay Rate: $28/hr
Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire
Schedule: Hours vary; shifts may range from 7:00am4:00pm to 8:30am5:30pm, with schedule changes possible based on daily coverage needs
Why This Role Matters
As a Float Phlebotomist, you play a critical role in maintaining continuity of care across multiple sites. Your flexibility and expertise ensure patients receive timely, accurate serviceeven when unexpected staffing needs arise.
What You'll Do
Travel to multiple locations to provide coverage for call-outs, vacations, and leaves of absence
Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric
Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the patients presence
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and required records
Create a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients across all assigned sites
What We're Looking For
A current, up-to-date resume
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Previous Patient Service Center experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel frequently, including last-minute schedule changes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to meet compliance requirements
