Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Previous experience in an operating room technician (ORT) role
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and instrument handling
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and operating room teams
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and strict adherence to protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready
• Assist surgeons during operations, passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Monitor supplies and restock as necessary during and after procedures
• Support perioperative nursing staff with patient preparation, including proper positioning and draping
• Perform accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards throughout every procedure
• Document activities and communicate effectively with the surgical team
