Position Summary

Identifies, transports patients to, from and within the OR Suite.

Assists with patient positioning which includes holding extremities during surgical prep, turning patients onto surgical table/frame. Assist nursing staff with retrieving and returning equipment, supplies, implants. Assembles and stamps paperwork, prepares equipment ie; fracture table.

Clean the OR suite according to Policy and Procedure between cases and is responsible for terminal cleaning of the suite. Transport specimens, lab work, patients beds to and from the OR. Does shave prep of patient.

Minimum Requirements

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required.

  • Certificate upon completion of the Monitor Technician program: required within 18months in the position at ECUHMC,

  • Outside of the ECUH Medical Center one of the following certifications is required: CNA, Phlebotomy, Endoscope reprocessing, CRCST

  • ORA I: No Experience Required

  • ORA II: 2 years of experience or greater with certification. 5 years or greater of experience without a certification

Pay Range

$18.00 - $22.79
