Cardiovascular Technician Jobs in Kernersville, NC
A Cardiovascular Technician, also known as a Cardiovascular Technologist, plays a vital role in the med tech industry by assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel ailments. They primarily perform non-invasive procedures, such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and Holter monitoring, while some specialize in invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations. Crucial skills for this role include attention to detail, technical competency, and strong interpersonal skills due to the high level of patient interaction. Before stepping into the role of a Cardiovascular Technician, a person may have roles like EKG Technician or Medical Assistant. Some may also start as Registered Nurses or Radiologic Technologists, gaining experience and specializing in cardiovascular technology.
