Our client is seeking an entry level lab technician to join their growing team! Join a global leader in chemical manufacturing to assist the development of specialty coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants and compounds.

**Type:** Contract-to-hire

**Rate:** $22-25/hr

**Location** : Burlington County, NJ

**Duties:**

+ Perform laboratory tests by adhering to established procedures and protocols in the testing lab.

+ Operate testing equipment following specific guidelines.

+ Utilize scanners and software for image scanning.

+ Execute test tube reactions according to prescribed test methods.

+ Document and record observations and test results accurately.

+ Handle chemicals and hazardous waste safely, in accordance with procedures, and interpret chemical Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

+ Foster and support a culture of safety, including safe practices and chemical hygiene.

+ Assist in coating development by preparing formulations, applying coatings to sheets, and operating lab testing equipment under the guidance of chemists.

**Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor of science in chemistry or biochemistry.
