As the Clinical Laboratory Manager, you will lead a team over 50 laboratory professionals and support staff to foster an environment of engagement and collaboration - ensuring accurate patient results and quality outcomes. Provide day-to-day oversight of a 24/7 lab operations for testing in Clinical Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology plus lab support services including EKG/Phlebotomy. Responsible for operating and capital budgets, as well as implementing and maintaining all department policies and procedures. Take pride in directing the Labs quality assurance activities that support NYPs performance improvement initiatives. The schedule for this position is Monday Friday. Must be available to respond off hours for emergency cases plus with evening/night shift staff as is inherent in a leadership position. Location is our Allen Hospital campus in Upper Manhattan/Inwood.

Preferred Criteria:

• Master's Degree preferred

• American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification (ASCP) or equivalent

• Experience managing a clinical laboratory team in a large hospital organization

Required Criteria:

• Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent curriculum)

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York State Education Department

• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor

• Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with Masters degree or 1 years of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological science

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including regulatory aspects of practice
