Key Responsibilities
• Passes medications and gives treatments according to physicians orders and in accordance with facility policy
• Provides heedful care tasks, personal hygiene .services, housekeeping tasks and other related support services essential to the resident's health
• Follows schedule in accordance to Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) standards
• Alerts Administrator of any change in resident's physical or mental health status
• Reports and documents all resident incidents and emergency medical calls to administrative staff
• Ensures that residents receive meals during scheduled times
• Does not leave floor unattended without notifying a fellow employee
• Gives shift report on status of residents
• Documents in the resident records
• Responsible for notifying PC Manager or Charge Nurse of medications needing to be refilled
• Assures personal and staff compliance to residents' rights
• Provides a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members
• Monitors personal and staff compliance to all State and federal requirements including but not limited to blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and: fire safety
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· High School Diploma or equivalent · 1 Year long term care experience · 1 year med tech experience
