We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Clinical Lab Scientist Specialist to lead the Point-of-Care program at our Santa Monica Clinical Laboratory.
As the Senior Clinical Laboratory Science Specialist for Point of Care Testing (POCT), you will provide leadership and technical expertise for the Santa Monica Clinical Laboratory Point of Care program within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Primary duties include providing leadership, support, and expertise on POCT, including coordination of quality control and proficiency activities, performing training and competency on testing personnel, validation of new analyzers, middleware, and tests, and writing policies and procedures.
Salary Rang $60.71 - $78.17 Hourly
Job Qualifications

- Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of four years of clinical laboratory scientist experience.
- Prior experience in Point of Care Testing.
- Proven experience in training and lecturing.
- Experience writing procedures and reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated experience in LIS interface validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
