Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program (NAACLS).
- Montana Medical Laboratory License.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
- Certified in Basic Life Support with-in 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of current medical terminology.
Job Specific Duties:
- Perform routine medical laboratory testing procedures using a variety of laboratory instrumentation.
- Maintain proper quality control procedures.
- Perform quality control checks of instrumentation against established standards.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Operate the laboratory information system.
- Support staff on all shifts and satellite laboratories. Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Adhere to employer work practices as described in TDC Occupational Exposure Plan policy.
- Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work as a team member within the laboratory department and all other departments.
- Ability to perform in all areas of the laboratory including, but not limited to, microbiology, hematology, chemistry and coagulation.
- Document work processes as required.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
