At Manor on 1st, all direct care staff are trained Medication Technicians. This model allows residents to receive timely medication support and daily care from familiar team members without delays or fragmented service.
Medication Technicians serve as primary care partners to residents by providing both medication administration and daily living support. Through consistency and attentiveness, Med Techs help ensure residents experience safe, responsive, and personalized care throughout their day.
Responsibilities- Administer medications safely and accurately as scheduled
- Document medication administration in the MAR
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Observe and report changes in resident condition
- Communicate concerns to the Resident Care Coordinator
- Support resident routines and overall well-being
- Maintain medication safety and storage practices
- Follow all Utah assisted living regulations and community policies
Current Utah Medication Aide Certification (or ability to obtain immediately if allowed by state requirements)
Current CPR/First Aid certification
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to pass criminal background screening
Ability to read, write, and document in English
Ability to safely assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
Ability to use electronic medical records (ECP)
