Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Indianapolis, IN, where you will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing and setting up instruments and equipment, and providing direct support during cardiac procedures. This role supports complex cardiac cases; the facility does not perform transplants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
  • Experience working in a hospital-based CVOR and familiarity with cardiac instrumentation and sterile technique.
  • Ability to participate in on-call and weekend call rotations as required by the facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 4x10-hour block scheduling and variable case start times.
  • Previous experience supporting cardiac cases that involve complex monitoring and cardiopulmonary bypass setup.

Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 0600-1630 (cases may also require 0800-1830 depending on schedule).
  • Schedule format: 4x10 hour shifts with variable case scheduling.
  • Call requirements: 1 night call per week and 1 weekend call per month (starts Friday evening through 0600 Monday).
  • Candidates may be required to float to other facilities within the region as needed.
