As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the Blood Bank, youll play a pivotal role in providing life-saving transfusion support for UCLA Medical Center patients, including trauma and transplant cases. Your expertise will drive accurate and timely diagnostic insights while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Primary job duties include:
- Conduct patient transfusion testing and perform complex immunology problem-solving.
- Manage and input vital data into our advanced lab systems.
- Oversee quality control testing, quality assurance processes, and donor quality assurance.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of test results, maintaining meticulous laboratory records.
- Respond to patient inquiries, offering clear and helpful guidance regarding test results.
Salary Range: $56.54 - $75.34/hour

California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
Bachelors degree.
Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
Two years of recent clinical laboratory experience in a Blood Bank, preferred.
Experience with MTS gel methodology and solid phase testing, preferred.
