Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelors degree in related field as required by individual clients.
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification required. (MLS candidates: ASCP or equivalent CLS certification required; MLT candidates: ASCP MLT or equivalent CLS certification acceptable.)
• Laboratory licensure as applicable for the state assignment.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting. (Standard description lists 1 year; client notes request 2 years.)
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MLS candidates: Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or similar preferred.
• Experience with rotating weeknight and weekend call preferred.
• Experience performing clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood bank testing preferred.

• Facility type: Hospital in Haxtun, CO.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts.
• Rotation includes weeknight and weekend on-call responsibilities.
• Position accepts MLT or MLS credentialed candidates.
