Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. The role requires performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests, reviewing and reporting results, maintaining patient confidentiality, following lab safety and maintenance protocols, and training or supervising trainees and laboratory staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences, allied health technologies, or equivalent as required by the client.
• Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the state of employment: Required in CA.
• Current certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA): Preferred.
• EPIC Beaker experience: Required.
• Variable shift availability including rotating shifts and weekends: Required.
• Prior clinical laboratory experience. One year preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field if not already listed under minimums.
• Current certification from ASCP or NCA if not held (listed as preferred).
• Prior experience training or supervising laboratory assistants and clerks.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: Variable shift, 5 x 8s with rotating shifts including weekends.
• Typical start times may include 0600, 0700, 1300, and 1400.
• No on-call requirement.
