Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Take your clinical expertise to a high-acuity setting, supporting surgical teams during complex cases including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, and vascular procedures. This contract role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in Trauma (excluding burns), neuro, general, vascular, ENT, gyn, urology, robotics for both general and neuro, and related specialties. A demonstrated background in robotic-assisted surgery (Mazor/DaVinci XI) is highly valued. Work within a modern, 492-bed facility featuring advanced technology in a Level II Trauma Center, providing expert care to a diverse patient population. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Shift Time: 6:30 pm to 6:30 am Call requirements: One day per week (3 pm-7 am) and one weekend per month (Friday 3 pm to Monday 7 am) Orientation: Two weeks on day shift with required buddy call Must be available to work one holiday during the contract Qualifications: At least 2 years of recent surgical nursing or surgical tech experience required (no new graduates or those with only one year of experience) Accepting first-time travelers with a minimum of two years' experience Familiarity with trauma, neuro, general, and vascular surgery cases Certification preferred but not required Experience with Cerner EMR and advanced surgical technologies preferred Ability to collaborate with ORAs, desk assistants, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams Responsibilities: Scrub and assist on trauma, neuro, vascular, and general surgical cases Demonstrate strong technical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment Maintain best practices in patient care and surgical asepsis Participate in call coverage and holiday staffing as needed Scrub attire in green is provided.
