Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Required - WA RT or CIS License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R or CCI RCIS Must-Have: - On-call required: 1 call day per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks - First-timers not accepted - Pending license not accepted - Locals not accepted Description: The Cath Lab Tech will perform all diagnostic procedures. This includes PCI procedures such as stents, balloon angioplasty, laser, rota, impella, and IABP. The role will also involve structural heart procedures like TAVR, balloon valvuloplasty, and Watchman. Electrophysiology procedures including EPS, AFib/flutter ablations, and BIV and pacemaker implants will also be part of the responsibilities. Rhythm interpretation is preferred. This position will require accurate monitoring and baseline measurements. Key skills include cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and cardiac stent placement. The tech will also perform cardioversion, conduction studies, and electrophysiology evaluations. Inserting and programming AICDs and performing Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure will be necessary tasks. The technician will conduct left heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Additional skills include performing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), right heart catheterization, and maintaining a sterile field. Other tasks include rotablader atherectomy, temporary pacemaker insertion, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and tilt table studies. The position also involves performing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and Watchman procedures among others.
