Certified Surg Tech Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Association of Surgical Technologists certification: Preferred.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI-BLS) certification from an approved vendor per facility policy: Preferred.
• Relevant acute care surgical experience: Preferred.
• Must have orthopedic (Ortho) experience.
• Major vascular surgery experience is required.
• Ability to self-schedule call shifts. Call typically averages seven shifts per month and includes weekends. Weekday call starts at 5:00 PM until 6:30 AM. Weekend call is usually one per month and may include Saturday and/or Sunday coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Experience in a high-volume acute care operating room setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: Flex Shifts 06:00 - 17:00; variable shifts 06:30 - 17:00 with potential for 09:00 - 19:30.
• Self-scheduled call responsibility.
• Call frequency averages seven shifts per month, to include weekends.
• Weekday call period begins at 17:00 and extends until 06:30.
• Weekend call usually one weekend day per month; Saturday and/or Sunday coverage may be split.
