Step into a vital role in cardiac care as a Cath Lab Technologist, specializing in imaging and electrophysiology, to support innovative procedures and enhance patient outcomes. This full-time, contract opportunity involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, operating essential imaging equipment, and ensuring meticulous adherence to safety protocols in a high-acuity environment.

Schedule:

  • Four days per week
  • 10-hour shifts

Desired Background and Credentials:

  • Must demonstrate experience in electrophysiology (EP) within a cath lab
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, an associates in a healthcare field, or recognized equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred)
  • 0-1 year acute care experience (preferred)
  • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA (to work independently in pediatric facilities)
  • Preferred: Current RCIS, RCES, RCS, ARRT (R, CI, CV, or VI), or ARDMS certifications
  • Texas state licensure (MRT or LMRT) according to modality requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Cath Lab and operate advanced imaging equipment for cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
  • Maintain equipment, perform routine checks, and document as required for quality control
  • Ensure complete and accurate procedure documentation, including hemodynamic and ECG data
  • Uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique and safe patient positioning during procedures
  • Act as a radiation safety resource for the team during X-ray usage
  • Collaborate with physicians and Cath Lab leadership to optimize patient care and lab efficiency
  • Support daily lab operations, including room checks, stocking supplies, and patient transport as needed
  • Actively engage in continued learning, unit improvement projects, and collaborative care models
