We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Device Tech for a 28-week contract assignment in New York, NY. Key Responsibilities
- Perform pacemaker and ICD interrogation, programming, and troubleshooting
- Support electrophysiology studies and evaluations within an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting
- Assist with electrophysiological monitoring and device-related patient care
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and complete charge entry as needed
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrophysiology-related equipment and devices
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to support patient care and procedural workflows
- Educate staff, patients, and families on electrophysiological monitoring and cardiac device management when appropriate
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and operational procedures
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM hours
- 28-week assignment providing contract consistency and scheduling predictability
- Clear expectations regarding workflow, responsibilities, onboarding, and assignment structure
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Device Tech experience required
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience required
- Experience with pacemaker and ICD interrogation/programming required
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
- Background in cardiac device technology, electrophysiology (EP), cardiology, or MRI operations
- Completion of an accredited program in cardiac electrophysiology technology or equivalent education/experience
- Experience in cardiology and/or electrophysiology settings
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and charge entry
- Experience educating staff, patients, and families on electrophysiological monitoring
- Experience working in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, including electrophysiology studies and evaluations
- Familiarity with MRI environments and equipment operation and maintenance
