What You'll Do
Process a wide range of histologic specimens: grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining (including special stains & immunohistochemistry), and frozen sections
Produce high-quality slides and perform quality control to ensure accurate pathology reviews
Troubleshoot issues that could affect diagnostic outcomes
Maintain, clean, and perform routine checks on lab equipment
Adhere to universal safety procedures and lab protocols
Rotate on-call nights and weekends (8 AM-9 PM) to support laboratory needs

Additional Job Description

Qualifications & Essentials
Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related scientific field
HTL(ASCP) certification (or equivalent) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification, If not certified, must have completed a NACCLS Accredited HT/HTL Program and be certification eligible, certification must be achieved within 1 year of hire, until certification achieved salary will be 10% less.
