Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Midland, MI, functioning as a member of the cardiac surgical team to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing and assembling equipment, maintaining the sterile field, and providing anticipatory support to the surgical team. This role requires reliable documentation of instruments, sponges, sharps, and medications and adherence to institutional policies for sterile technique.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active NBSTSA certification required.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of CVOR surgical technologist experience required.
  • Open heart (cardiac) operative experience required.
  • Experience in tertiary care centers or designated Level I or II trauma centers required.
  • Comfortable floating to General OR when needed; floating is required.
  • Candidates must reside outside the facilitys 50-mile radius (local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered).
  • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required.
  • Work history and skills checklist current to within one year, pertinent to CVOR, required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a tertiary cardiac program preferred.

Assignment Details

  • Variable day shifts.
  • 40 hour guarantee.
  • Every third weekend required.
  • Technologist may be floated to General OR when cases are low, for turnover, breaks, and opening rooms.
