Key Responsibilities: Prepare tissue samples using microtomy, sectioning, embedding, staining, and mounting techniques Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain all histology laboratory equipment Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and record-keeping for all specimens and processes Conduct quality control procedures and help uphold laboratory safety standards Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and clinicians to deliver timely, high-quality results Participate in ongoing continuing education and skills development as required Qualifications & Desired Experience: Proven experience working in a clinical or research histology laboratory Proficiency in laboratory protocols, including paraffin embedding, special stains, and immunohistochemistry Certification as a Histologist (HT or HTL, ASCP) highly preferred Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting Effective communication skills both written and verbal Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a plus This contract position is ideal for candidates eager to make a meaningful difference by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of lab results.
