Cath Lab Tech in Meriden, CT

Seeking a skilled professional to serve as an Invasive Technologist specializing in the Cardiac Cath Lab for a 17-week contract assignment. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where expertise in imaging is essential to support cardiac procedures and patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
• On-call rotation as needed
• Every other weekend; every third weekend on call
• Additional on-call two weekdays per week

Qualifications:

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• RT(R) or RCIS credential required
• Proven experience working as a Cath Lab Technologist or in a related imaging-focused position
• Strong understanding of invasive cardiac procedures
• Exceptional communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Support physicians and the healthcare team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results
• Prepare lab/OR for procedures including setting up sterile fields, instruments, and necessary supplies
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures, responding swiftly to any complications
• Comply with safety protocols and maintain documentation on all performed procedures
• Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and cardiologists to ensure optimal patient care
