CC015140 West Little Rock Clinic Summary: West Little Rock Clinic - Mon-Fri days, typically 8:30am-5pm work day - 2 years phlebotomy experience & required certification (see job description for list of cert options) Additional Information:Full-time Monday-Friday days, typically a 8:30am-5pm work day. Mondays - Thursdays end based on last patient appointment (could go past 5pm) & typically leave early on Fridays.
Performs both inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy procedures and serves as a resource for the troubleshooting and problem-solving of all specimen collection, processing, receiving, and distribution processes.
Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Recommended Education: Associate Degree Required Work Experience: Related Field - 2 years of experience Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: 1 of the following certifications is required - Recommended Certifications: Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (CMLA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified or Registered Phlebotomy Technician - , Nationally Certified Multi-Skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant (NCMSMLA) - National Healthcare Workers Association, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - National Association of Healthcare Professionals (NAHP), Registered Medical Assistant - Unknown Issuer Description1. Collects and processes blood specimens.
2. Coordinates staff, maintains staffing schedule and lab assistance staff support to call center.
3. Assists hospital personnel on draw orders, draw volumes and hard-to-draw patients.
4. Trains phlebotomists including coordination of testing and documentation.
5. Performs clerical duties including data entry, stocking, supply maintenance, cleaning equipment and documentation.
6. Supports department supervisor in the review and update of procedures.
7. Oversees the review of the Client and Out-Patient referred requisitions.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
