Responsibilities
  • Screen and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological cytology specimens
  • Identify abnormal cellular changes and prepare findings for pathologist review
  • Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality and regulatory standards
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support accurate diagnoses
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program required
  • CT (ASCP) certification required
  • Maryland licensure required or eligible if applicable
  • Prior laboratory or cytology experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
