Medical Lab Technologist

Multiple Medical Lab Technologist sought by Bluewater Healthcare Network D/B/A Aspire Rural Health System, at Deckerville, MI to be responsible for: Responsible for the accuracy of work performed in all areas of the laboratory. Documentation is complete. Responsible that work is completed in a timely manner. Results available as defined on stat turn-around time. Delays are communicated to clinician as necessary. Collects blood and other specimens under aseptic conditions. Assists in drawing patients when phlebotomist is unavailable. Is courteous and empathetic to patient's needs. Carefully handles infectious material to protect self and all hospital personnel. Adheres to hospital isolation procedures. Disposes of biological waste in accordance with hospital policies. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical, or Laboratory Science, or related field, or foreign equivalent, and MLT (ASCP/ASCPi) or MLS (ASCP/ACSPi) or equivalent certification.
