As a sterile processing technician at Salem Health, you'll be at the heart of healthcare, ensuring that our surgical teams have access to the instruments they need to provide top-notch care. Every tool you sanitize plays a role in someone's health journey, making your work truly meaningful. What you'll do Decontaminate and prepare items following departmental standards and equipment guidelines. Prepare items for sterilization using correct procedures, indicators, and labels. Operate and maintains sterilizers, ensuring proper function and reporting maintenance issues. Assemble and prepare case carts efficiently and independently. Handle and organize surgical trays, instruments, and drills for proper assembly. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, identifying and addressing safety hazards. Required qualifications Must hold either a current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification OR a current Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification.
