Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring an experienced Sr. Laboratory Scientist to work full days for the Clinical Lab in Microbiology Setup and Urinalysis. (0630-1500)

Overview

As a Sr. Laboratory Scientist, duties are to perform laboratory testing and interpret test results using scientific knowledge and principles of test procedures and disease processes; recommends contingency testing. Directly responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing daily technical operations, including staff training and education, implementation of instrumentation, and accreditation readiness.

Education

  • Bachelors in medical technology or Biology/Chemical Science

Certification/Licensure

  • ASCP or AMT certification

Experience

  • 3 year of experience (required)

  • Microbiology experience
