GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Pediatric & Neonatal Critical Care Transport EMT in our Oklahoma City region. This position is part of a comprehensive critical care transport team that provides transport services for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients throughout the region. The primary role of this position is to operate/ drive the neonatal and pediatric critical care ambulances and provide assistance to the Neonate/Pediatric transport team as needed. Shift work will be 12-hour day and/or night shifts with weekends and holidays required. Additional training and certification are required and will be provided. Applicants must have 1 years of experience as an EMT, demonstrate the ability to be part of a team and have exceptional references and recommendations .
Provides BASIC Life Support including medical evaluation, treatment and stabilization of the critically ill and injured; responds to emergency rescue situations involving
potential lo ss of life or bodi l y injury; maintains control, manages a nd directs patient care at the scene of a pre-hospital emergency; provides training and instruction to lesser trained personnel; performs other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB :

• Cleans and maintains (minor maintenance) ve hicles .
• C l eans and maintains li v ing quarters.
• Maintains records of vehicles, su ppli es, training and daily work; and
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
GENERAL INFORMATION :
The s upervi so r m akes assignments in terms of shifts to be worked and t h e
genera l s cope of th e work assignment. The incumbent performs the work in accordance with the procedures , policies and medical orders provided. The incumbent
must exercise judgmen t in app l ying the proper guide lin e to the proper situation. The work is spot checked and eva l uated based on feedback from the patient, medical staff and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess and maintain:
• EMT Licensure (1 years of experience)
• CPR for the Health Care Provider
• Good knowledge of the street sys tem s, addresses and physica l l ayou t of th e state of Oklahoma , and of the rescue equ i pment and the emergency
medica l equ i pment u se d in Advanced Life Support. Additional training and certification at the pediatric and neonatal transport level will be provided and required for employment.

• author reports with narrative and numeric information along with the other transport team members.
• Additionally, incumbents must maintain a high degree of academic
and practical knowledge in emergency paramedicine, pediatric and neonatal care, and must attend sufficient continuing education classes, courses and seminars both on and off dut y to maintain annual paramedic certification, as required by
the state in which you will be working.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
The work requires the incumbent to operate emergency
medica l vehicles , move medica l equipment and extract injured persons from a wide variety of situations. Situation can in vo l ve veh i cular, industrial and residential
accidents, injurie s or illn ess and occ ur anywhere in our coverage area. At times the work requires mov e m ent over various types of terrain , (hilly , steep, rocky, rough, and/or wet/ s li ppery surfaces). The incumbent always must be able to carry or help carry someone from the site of the injury to the mode of transportation (vehicle/helicopter) and attend the injured party to
the hospital.
In order to perform a physical assessment of the injured party, the incumbent must see, hear , and communicate wi t h the injured party.
EMT's wi ll be i ss ued and must wear Company
issued uniforms while o n duty ; additionally, Paramedics wi ll be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of uniforms , as we ll as all issued e quipment.
Paramedics are required to carry a Company issued pager / radio at a ll times in order
to rec eive i mmediate not i ficatio n of an ass i gnment.
