Position Title: Phlebotomist II
Work Location: 2511 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, FL
Assignment Duration: 3 Months
Work Schedule: 1st Shift / 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday-Friday with every other Saturday)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Work Environment: Patient Service Center (PSC) - High Volume Site
Vaccines Required:
RTB
(Hepatitis B offered but may be declined)
Color Vision Screening Required: Yes
Candidates will be responsible for drawing, processing, and handling specimens primarily for geriatric patients in a busy PSC environment. This role requires at least 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience with strong venipuncture skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
* How many draws are required daily? 30-40
Position Summary:
The main function of a phlebotomist is to perform blood collection procedures, specimen processing, patient interaction, and workflow support while ensuring specimen integrity and excellent patient care in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws using straight and butterfly needles
Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing, and packaging for transport
Accurately verify patient information, requisitions, and specimen labels
Collect and store specimens according to established laboratory procedures
Explain specimen collection procedures clearly and professionally to patients
Maintain specimen integrity and proper storage conditions at all times
Restock supplies and prepare collection areas throughout the shift
Handle a high daily patient volume while remaining organized and detail-oriented
Follow OSHA, DEP, and laboratory safety regulations
Assist with workflow coordination and support site operations as needed
Stand for extended periods throughout the workday
Participate in hands-on training with the Hiring Manager and Site Coordinator
Qualification & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience required
Strong experience performing venipuncture in a fast-paced PSC, laboratory, or hospital environment
Experience working with geriatric patients preferred
Ability to perform 30-40 draws daily
Comfortable working on feet for most of the shift
Strong patient communication and customer service skills
Basic computer proficiency and data entry accuracy required
Ability to work effectively with a small team in a busy environment
