Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift (11:00pm-7:30am) - 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday

Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 17 opering rooms Forsyth Medical Center.

• Educion: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
• Licensure/Certificion: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certificion, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validion and competency testing. Demonstres knowledge of instrumention and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certificion.

• Cleaning, decontamining, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment
• Ensures the instruments and equipment are available
• Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immedie use in order to support pient care.
