Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Springfield, OH where you will function as a member of a cardiac team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiac and vascular procedures. You will prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, maintain the sterile field, and provide intraoperative support to the surgical team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C), or certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Certification from an NBSTSA-accredited program is acceptable.
- BLS certification required. ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years cardiac (CVOR/heart) surgical experience. At least 12 years general OR experience preferred.
- Previous experience in vascular and endovascular procedures preferred, including familiarity with CABG, valve cases, carotids, fem-pop bypass, TAVR, EVAR, TVAR, and TCAR.
- Experience working in hybrid CVOR rooms and supporting cases in the cath lab preferred.
- Ability to respond to on-call assignments within a 30-minute timeframe. Willingness to take scheduled heart call. When on heart call, expect approximately 1015 calls in a 6-week period when covering call.
- Willingness to float to main OR when CVOR or vascular cases are not scheduled.
- Minimum education: Associate degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in Surgical Technology.
- Previous travel experience preferred. Local candidates will not be accepted for this opening.
