Surgical Technician / 36 Hours / Rotating Shift

SURGICAL TECHNICIAN

Department: Surgery

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Rotating Shifts between 6:00am - 7:00pm.

Hospital: Henry Ford Macomb Oakland Hospital

Location: Warren, MI

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Performs a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied, sterile environment.
• Responsibilities: Performs terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment and air vents.
• Transports case carts, equipment and supplies and disposes of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures.
• Monitors and maintains supply inventories at an appropriate par level.
• Provides physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting and, moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
