Summary Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Manager, or Director, the Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, processing, and sterilization of instruments used to support physicians and surgical teams in the operating room and other departments as needed. This role requires strict adherence to medical center policies and procedures, as well as compliance with state, local, and federal regulations. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and supporting clinical operations through accurate and timely sterile reprocessing.
