Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in San Bernardino, CA. You will function as a member of the cardiac team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing and setting up specialized instruments and equipment, and providing intraoperative support for cardiac and general surgical cases.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
  • Experience single-scrubbing cardiac cases and assisting on cardiac-specific procedures.
  • Experience with a Cerner charting system (charting/EMR experience required).
  • Ability to scrub in the main OR on varied specialties when cardiac cases are limited, including ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecology.
  • Willingness to take call as required and work end-of-week (EOW) call rotations.
  • Orientation availability for approximately 12 hours as part of onboarding.
  • Preferred: additional perioperative certifications or advanced cardiac instrumentation experience.

Assignment Details:

  • Facility Type: Hospital.
  • Unit: CVOR / OR - Cardiac.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Details: Days 0600-1700 (4x10 schedule noted).
  • Shift Notes: Typical start 0630-1700 on some schedules; Thursdays off; call required, EOW rotation.
  • Assignment Duration: 13 week assignment.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Orientation Hours: 12 hours.
  • Cancellation Policy: Hospital may cancel shifts per facility policy (up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments).
