Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech to provide expert imaging support in a dynamic cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. This opportunity offers a full-time, contract role with a four-day workweek, allowing for an excellent balance of professional development and free time.
Schedule/Hours:
- 40 hours per week (4x10 hour shifts)
- Rotating on-call duties
- Must be open to working 2 of the 3 winter holidays if needed
Qualifications:
- RCIS or ARRT accepted (If ARRT, current New York State license required)
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of OB experience
- Excellent communication and technical skills
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures; physician will operate the X-ray equipment
- Monitor patient status and provide critical information to support patient safety and procedural success
- Uphold strict standards for infection prevention and radiation safety
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow protocols for emergency situations and provide advanced resuscitation support as trained
- Accurately document procedures, imaging findings, and patient assessments
