Engineering Manager We're hiring a Laboratory Technician at Savant Labs, part of the Savant Group, at our Midland, Michigan headquarters. You'll execute laboratory tests, maintain equipment, and ensure data integrityall while supporting research, development, and production. From analyzing results to troubleshooting instrumentation, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering accurate, high-quality data that our customers rely on worldwide. You'll work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure compliance with ISO standards, support process improvements, and contribute to technical projects that keep our labs running efficiently. What You'll Own You'll ensure that Savant Labs produces reliable, accurate, and actionable test results. Your mission: execute laboratory tests with precision, maintain equipment and data integrity, and support compliance with QMS and ISO standards. This is a hands-on technical role. You'll run tests, record and analyze data, troubleshoot equipment, and help improve processes. You'll work independently and collaboratively to keep lab operations efficient, accurate, and safe. What You'll Do Execute laboratory tests following established SOPs, methods, and quality standards Accurately record, analyze, and report test data using electronic systems or standardized forms Maintain and monitor control charts, instrument logs, and reference materials Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation Identify and resolve technical issues, deviations, or anomalies in test methods and results Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 standards, internal QMS procedures, and safety protocols Support process improvements and technical projects to enhance lab efficiency What You'll Bring: Associate degree in science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in a technical or research environment Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems preferred Strong understanding of laboratory testing principles and techniques Proficient with laboratory instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance Skilled in data analysis, interpretation, and quality control Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and recordkeeping Effective troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills Able to prioritize tasks and manage workload independently What You'll Experience at Savant: We're not a check-the-box kind of companyand we don't hire people who are either.
