Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Take your surgical expertise to the next level with this 13-week contract opportunity for skilled professionals with experience in Nursing-ORT and First Assist Tech. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to deliver high-quality, safe patient care in a perioperative setting. Schedule: 5 shifts per week (8 hours each) Day shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Specific days to be finalized during the interview process Qualifications: Unrestricted Ohio Nursing License required BLS and ACLS certifications mandated Demonstrated experience in an Operating Room environment, with proficiency as a First Assist Tech In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology Ability to effectively apply the nursing process within the First Assistant role Skilled in using advanced life support equipment High degree of hand/eye coordination and mental attention Capacity to take Second Call responsibilities as needed Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive first assist support to surgeons throughout operative procedures Ensure patient safety by establishing and maintaining a secure perioperative environment Utilize advanced clinical judgement while collaborating with surgeons and the surgical team Accurately document procedures and maintain clear communication with all healthcare professionals involved in patient care Respond efficiently to emergent situations and provide high-level support when on Second Call This contract presents an excellent opportunity to broaden your skill set, expand your professional network, and contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes in a fast-paced surgical setting.
