COVR Certified Surgical Tech - Mount Washington, Kentucky

Seeking a dedicated professional to provide vital support as a CVOR Tech in a dynamic perioperative environment. This position is focused on assisting cardiac surgical teams, with responsibilities that emphasize precision, teamwork, and patient safety.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or training as a CVOR Tech (Surgical Technologist with CVOR specialty)
• Demonstrated competency supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures
• Previous experience in cardiac surgical settings preferred
• Understanding of sterilization protocols and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity situations
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Current BLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist surgical team with instrument handling, supplies, and equipment related to CVOR cases
• Ensure proper functioning and availability of all surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Collaborate with nursing and anesthesia teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Uphold strict infection control and safety standards at all times
• Participate in setup, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative breakdown of the surgical suite
