We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Emergency Department. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of registered nurses to provide critical and non-critical emergency care, performing assessments, treatments, and technical tasks in accordance with NH Patient Care Protocols. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to assess, plan, and evaluate patients plan of care and complete tasks needed to achieve quality patient outcomes.
Synthesizes data from basic situations to determine priorities for care; includes physical, psychosocial and educational needs. Recognizes need for and collects assessment data prior to communications with others. Able to identify abnormal findings. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Develop a plan of care.
Responds promptly and positively to patients, families, co-workers and all other in a respectful, courteous and confidential manner.
Greets patients, families, co-works and others in a calm, professional, friendly manner; makes eye contact, initiates conversation, and identifies self by name.
Demonstrates knowledge and application of Cottage Hospital and department policies and procedures. Reviews policy and procedure updates from managers and organization. Supports Cottage Hospital/Nursing mission, vision, values, and goals.
Able to identify and report any incident that seems unusual or deficient to supervisor/charge nurse. Knows where to find resources to answer questions.
Attends staff meetings, completes assignments on time, identifies own learning needs and obtains necessary education to meet requirements of position.
Applies education and training to daily work to enhance job knowledge and skills. Reviews learning needs with manager to set ongoing professional development on an annual basis.
