Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies based on physician preference cards.
Follow strict aseptic techniques in all procedural areas.
Ensure proper functioning and availability of instruments throughout procedures.
Monitor and report any breaks in sterile technique.
Clean, care for, and sterilize instruments and equipment per manufacturer and facility guidelines.
Maintain inventory levels, update records, and ensure accurate instrument tracking.
Operate sterilization equipment and perform biological and chemical testing as required.
Assist with storage, restocking, and maintenance of sterile processing areas.
QualificationsRequired:
Current Certified Surgical Scrub Technician certification/license in the state of Virginia
Current BLS Certification
Operating Room Experience
Strong ethical and moral references
Completion of a Surgical Technician Program or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
Preferred:
Minimum 2 years of OR experience
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
